 Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; By knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. Proverbs 24:3-4 NKJV   A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold. Proverbs 22:1   Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. Proverbs 16:3 NIV A sluggard’s appetite is never filled, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied. Proverbs 13:4 NIV   Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;  in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.[a] Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. Proverbs 3:5-10 NIV    

Proverbs (Key words: Knowledge, Wisdom, Understanding, Fear of the Lord, Fools)  

Proverbs is a book of practical wisdom. Solomon spoke 3000 proverbs (1 Kings 4:32). King Solomon is the principal writer of Proverbs. Solomon’s name appears in 1:1, 10:1 and 25:1. Solomon is a type of Christ in his wisdom and Jesus referred to himself as greater than Solomon (Matt 12:42). Solomon emphasizes that true wisdom is the fear of the Lord.   Christ is made unto us wisdom (2 Cor. 1:30). Christ is the wisdom of God. There is also prophecy in Proverbs concerning God and his son (Prov 30:1-4).
