Correction is Good Medicine

Some believe correction only serves to highlight what’s wrong in a person’s life. Because of past experiences with “correction abuse,” many develop “correction avoidance”—putting up emotional walls or defaulting to blame, deflection, rejection, or defensive arguments. These reactions often serve as shields, protecting old wounds caused by unhealthy correction.

But correction, when rendered in love, is a gift from God. Ask Him to heal you so that you may have ears to hear and a heart to receive correction. It is not meant to harm, but to position us for growth and blessings.

Scripture References: John 15:1–7; Revelation 2–3
