Key Words: Dogs, Evil workers, The Concision, Epaphroditus

The occasion of the epistle was to acknowledge a gift of money from the church at Philippi, brought to the apostle by Epaphroditus, one its members (Philippians 4:10-18). This is a tender letter to a group of Christians who were especially close to the heart of Paul (2 Corinthians 8:1-6). Philippians is a book of joy and thankfulness.

Paul warns of legalistic Judaizers and calls them dogs and evil workers. Paul also reminds them that the Lord was at hand.

Key Verses: 1:21; 3:2, 8; 4:5, 13, 18

Blessings,

Apostle John
